Reduce cost for print figures Printing with Eco-Solvent Ultra inks will significantly reduce cost for print figures. Indeed, an Eco-Solvent Ultra ink cassette is more than 20 % cheaper versus the current Eco-Solvent Plus inks. Moreover, with the Eco-Solvent Ultra inks, it is possible to print onto a selection of low-cost PVC with standard paper backing. Compared to regular PVC with PE-coated backing, paper-backed PVC (e.g. Avery MPI 2900 easy print, Hexis V400WG, Mactac 5829P, ....) is approximately 20 % cheaper. Adding up these two factors boils down to a decrease of cost for print figures with more than 20 % ! Working with Eco-Solvent Plus Since January 1st, 2006, every new Mutoh Rockhopper series printer manufactured at Mutoh comes standard with a set of the new Eco-Solvent Ultra inks. Existing Rockhopper printer users working with Eco-Solvent Plus inks will also be able to convert their machine to the new Eco-Solvent Ultra inks to be able to maximally exploit the benefits of the new inks. Before being able to load the new Eco-Solvent Ultra inks in an installed Rockhopper printer, a small hardware modification needs to be performed to the machine. Not doing so will result in damaging parts of the ink supply path, which might result into permanent damage to the printer. Said hardware modification is possible with a special “Eco-Solvent Ultra conversion kit”. The hardware modification needs to be done by a Mutoh authorized technician, e.g. on the occasion of a regular maintenance visit. |
